Most of what I’d heard about downloading movies for free had not been good; it seemed to involve almost as much effort as the trip to the movies or Blockbusters, with sometimes questionable results, but I couldn’t get the idea out of my head; somewhere there must be a way of downloading films for free legally. 3. It had to be instant; I didn’t want to replace the trip to the movies or 2 trips to Blockbusters with yet more waiting! Once you have become a member, you can download films for free immediately – in seconds!

4. I wanted to be able to watch a movie as often as I wanted – you can, because it’s yours – forever!

5. I only wanted to pay once – that’s how it works, you pay your membership fee for 1, 3 or 5 years, and not a cent more.

I’d heard a lot about downloading movies for free legally, and thought that by now someone must be offering a service where you can do just that; watch movies for free that you‘ve downloaded. You’re probably familiar with the situation; it’s a horrible day outside, the kids are bored, (or you both just feel in the mood for some comedy/romance/action or whatever) and you decide it would be nice to go and see a movie. First you have to find out what’s on in your area, which means finding the local newspaper or looking it up on the internet; working out whether the timings fit with your plans for the day (are we all/both going to be really hungry in the middle of the film?) – deciding which film, which movie house, which showing – then all into the car and off we go…wait! No, we’d better check we’ll be able to get seats – phone call to the cinema – sold out for our chosen showing – oh well, we’ll do the next one then, only that means we’ll miss the game on TV…And when we get there, there won’t be much loose change after the tickets, drinks, the popcorn ( why do movie houses have THE most expensive junk food in the world?); so in the end more often than not the idea of going to the movies gets shelved for another day.But there is an alternative, isn’t there? Blockbusters of course! (or your local equivalent – I’m not promoting Blockbusters!) Cheaper than the cinema – watch when you want (sort of…) but wait a minute – what if they don’t have the film you want to watch? Never mind, they’ll have a good hundred or more to choose from- they’re bound not to have the latest in stock, but we could watch something else – hope the quality’s better than the last one we rented – must have been watched by a million other people – and we were charged twice what we expected because we got it back there an hour late…and of course it’s two journeys, not one. I just had to find out how to download movies for free, legally.

Hi, I’m Graham. I decided to put pen to paper (well you know what I mean…) to help other families (for which read couples if there are no kids yet!) overcome the problem of going to the movies.
